Jingmai Ancient Tea Growing Area-Huimin Village of Lincang Lahu Ethnic Autonomous County of Pu'er City.
The average age of the ancient wild tea trees in this area is more than 80 years. And the tea leaves that picked from these tea trees are featured with rich essence and typical Jingmai flavor.
The raw material was pick by early March of 2013 and has been stored and aged in the warehouse since then. In 2015, we made this precious raw material into this tea cake. The leaves was picked in early Spring time, it is the first batch of the year and is considered the best quality leaves of the year.
The buds and the leaves are smaller and thinner, in yellowish-white color and covered with thick downy hairs.
The fresh and fruit-forward aromas of the dry leaf is markedly strong and long lasting.
The raw material has been aged and naturally fermented for over 3 years, so the astringency character of the raw pu-erh has been softened. You could easily get a golden, rich tea liquor with a 10 secs steeping and you could continuously steep this tea for over 10 times and still get a full texture in it.
The tea soup is thick but clear, with bits of tiny downy hairs on the surface for the first infusion. It taste smooth, mild, refreshing with lingering sweet aftertaste.
This tea will provide a full-bodied, mellow flavor after a longer storage. Well suited for raw pu-erh lovers.
We highly recommend a short(within 30secs) steeping for the first 5 infusions. Especially for drinkers who are trying raw pu-erh tea for the first time. Try to taste the astringent tea liquor, smell the fresh aroma and feel the sweet aftertaste.
*TIPS* Please prepare some snacks when you drinking raw pu-erh tea. Because it has strong effects of improving digestion and you may get hungry quickly when you drinking this tea.
