This herbal consists solely of the small, beautiful Jasmine flowers that produce a caffeine free, sweet brew. The jasmine flower is most valued for its fragrance.

The jasmine plant is grown at high elevation in the mountainous Fujian province, China. It is harvested in the spring and stored until early summer when fresh jasmine flowers are in bloom. Jasmine flowers are picked early in the morning when the sun is out and the dew has evaporated. The small petals are tightly closed. And they are the most fragrant at daybreak.

Jasmine is considered to be a powerful herb that can be used to treat a number of ailments. It has been hold in high regard as a powerful way to deal with fevers and conjunctivitis. Jasmine tea, made from star jasmine or night blooming jasmine, is considered an excellent way to bring balance to the body after heat exhaustion or sunstroke, and also provides assistance in dealing with the bone cancer, breast cancer, and a general pain reliever.

Often, the uses of jasmine in herbal medicine are administered as a tea which is understood to allow the body to experience the benefits more quickly.

Many people simply enjoy the taste of a hot cup of jasmine tea during cold weather. With no real regard for any type of medicinal or restorative properties, people find the taste pleasant, fresh, sweet and a nice alternative to coffee.

Sipping a warm cup of jasmine tea may do more than titillate the taste buds. It appears that the leaves from this flower may have disease preventive properties ranging from cancer prevention to lowering elevated cholesterol levels. Although larger studies are needed to confirm these benefits, the possibilities are intriguing.
