Not remarkable, but still good leaf quality Review by Theo

Not sure whether my order got mixed up with the E Mei Shan Zhu Ye green tea, as this one tastes like any typical pan-roasted Chinese green tea. It’s pretty ordinary in terms of looks and flavor, maybe even a bit oxidizes due to poor storage, but there is a pleasant mouthfeel and viscosity in the tea soup. Nice lasting sweet aftertaste too. It’s quite packed with caffeine I must say!

I think this tea is well sourced. (Posted on 4/17/2018)

This is a nice bud tea, but it's not like what I expected. The dried leaf has a sweet grassy smell - more like typical Chinese green tea than sencha. It's also not nearly as green as in the photos here. The leaves are gray-ish/olive green with silver hairs.

Flavor-wise, this is also much more like a typical Chinese green tea. What's interesting is the floral, fruity and almost sweet woody notes that come in later steeps, which remind me more of some white teas I've tried.

All in all, this is a very nice tea that I can definitely recommend, but it's quite different from what is advertised here. (Posted on 9/9/2017)

I like the taste. It 's a classic Japanese tea taste combines with light sweetness and the vegetal smell is overwhelming.

It also looks sooooooooo much better than any Sencha. (Posted on 11/20/2013)
