En Shi Yu Lu(En Shi Jade Dew)-Steamed Green Tea-#1

This is a nice bud tea, but it's not like what I expected. The dried leaf has a sweet grassy smell - more like typical Chinese green tea than sencha. It's also not nearly as green as in the photos here. The leaves are gray-ish/olive green with silver hairs.

Flavor-wise, this is also much more like a typical Chinese green tea. What's interesting is the floral, fruity and almost sweet woody notes that come in later steeps, which remind me more of some white teas I've tried.

All in all, this is a very nice tea that I can definitely recommend, but it's quite different from what is advertised here.
