The raw material was pick by early March of 2013 and has been stored and aged over 3 years, so the astringency character of the raw pu-erh has been softened.

The raw material of this tea ball called "Zi Ya" literally purple buds or purple sprout. It harvest from wild tea trees grown in over 2480 meters altitude high mountain area. The purple buds appear only on these variant tea trees in early spring time. Its dark purple color signals that it is high in antioxidants called anthocyanins.
